Privacy

Privacy Policy

Plain-language beta placeholder for student data, privacy, AI processing, and scholarship workflows. Attorney review recommended.

Beta notice and attorney review

This privacy policy is a practical beta placeholder, not legal advice. Attorney review is recommended before public launch, school contracts, scholarship workflow commercialization, or production payment processing.

13+ requirement

Target Practice is intended for users age 13 or older. We do not ask for dates of birth; age gates should store only eligibility acknowledgement when needed. If you believe a child under 13 provided information without verifiable parental consent, contact professorw@targetpracticelearning.com for product support, with founder@targetpracticelearning.com as the backup administrative contact so we can delete it.

Student data we may collect

We may collect email, display name, account role, diagnostic answers, selected test type, score goals, practice attempts, progress data, support messages, AI tutor/chat messages, beta feedback, scholarship profile fields, sourced scholarship URLs, extracted scholarship requirement fields, anonymous beta session identifiers, and subscription or Stripe identifiers. We avoid collecting school IDs, official transcripts, district records, or dates of birth in this beta.

Why we collect it

We use student data to operate diagnostics, recommend practice, save progress, organize scholarship workflows, provide support, maintain subscriptions, debug issues, and improve educational features. Analytics should use user IDs or anonymous tester IDs rather than names or emails whenever practical.

Students and parents

Target Practice is currently a beta product for use with parent or guardian involvement when a student is a minor. Parent and student account roles should remain separate as account features mature.

AI processing

AI-assisted explanations and support may be processed by AI providers. Do not enter full names, school identifiers, student IDs, addresses, health details, financial information, private portal credentials, or other unnecessary personal information into AI chat or support prompts. We may redact common identifiers before AI processing, but users should still avoid sharing sensitive details.

No sale of student data

We do not sell student personal information. Any future advertising, school, scholarship-provider, or analytics partnerships require privacy review and attorney-approved policy updates before launch.

School and FERPA-related data

Target Practice is not an official school records system and should not be used to store official transcripts, district records, school IDs, or teacher-uploaded identifiable records unless a school agreement, DPA, FERPA review, and attorney-reviewed language are in place.

What not to enter

During beta, do not enter payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, medical information, tax records, or other highly sensitive personal information into product forms or support messages.

Payments

Live payment processing is not enabled yet. When Stripe checkout is added, payment card data should be entered only into Stripe-hosted or Stripe-controlled checkout surfaces. Target Practice should store Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, or payment method identifiers only, not raw card numbers, CVC, or expiration details.

Third-party sources

If you paste public scholarship page text or source URLs, the product may store a limited excerpt and extracted fields to help you verify requirements. Do not paste private portal pages, tax records, Social Security numbers, medical information, or copyrighted materials you do not have permission to use.

Deletion and export requests

Use the support page or email professorw@targetpracticelearning.com for product support, with founder@targetpracticelearning.com as the backup administrative contact to request account deletion, data deletion, or a copy of available account data. The deletion workflow should remove or anonymize profile data, progress, quiz attempts, saved answers, AI/support chat logs, scholarship workflow data, subscription references, and analytics references where legally and technically feasible.
